would love an update

pls update this

Can u play this with the oculus?

You can via SteamVR

is it possible to use a playstation controller?

Supposedly you can, but I don't own one so I can't try.

thanks

ill test it for u bro

Looks fun, if not for <current events> I'd play this with some friends. I opened it on my own to see how it plays, and I must say that the lack of smooth or snap-turning severely hinders gameplay in a smaller room, and I can't imagine it would be better when you have four monsters chasing you, perhaps making you forget about how you're winding up the cable and causing trip hazards in panic.

In addition, the Index controller models cause interference with the minimap model. If it were moved out a few more centimeters (or if the sensor band on the controller model was removed) this would be solved.

Thanks! I'll try to implement those suggestions when I go back to work in this project.

Any chance of getting a desktop version where the aliens are playing over the internet?  I love the concept of this but don't have enough local friends.

Not likely, sorry. Web programming is something I'm extremely unfamiliar with at the moment.

This game is actually pretty cool, personally think the monsters should move a bit faster and do more damage, but still very well done!

Hi! Just downloaded this and am exited to give it a shot! I'm using oculus so are there any tips to get it running on this headset? First thing that comes to mind is launching the game using steamVR but I haven't ran any non-steam VR games before.

Edit:

SteamVR did the trick! Did a quick test round with a buddy of mine. Liked the game, but with just two players the flame throwers seemed way too OP. Found one in every room so It was very easy to blast the monster whenever they spawned. The locomotion seems like it's suited for vive, but it's really awkward to push in the thumb sticks on oculus so a push-to-walk option would be nice. Keep up the awesome work!

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I'm glad the game runs on the Oculus via Steam VR. Since I don't own an Oculus I couldn't really test it. Pressing the thumb sticks to move sounds really awkward. I'll see what I can do about that.

The game right now needs a lot of balancing. I have some ideas that I will try to implement.

Would love to exhibit it at a festival, but can't figure out a way to reach you. Can you write us at info@playfestival.de? Thanks!

Sorry! I just wrote you an email

On oculus is there a diffrent button to fire the Flamethrower?

I don't know. I have an Oculus without the touch controllers. I think you'd have to emulate vive input. Sorry!

Parsec might work if you and your friends have it, they'd still need xbox controllers

Itch desktop app says "not available on windows" - check your publish settings?

<cough...>

Damn, I'm sorry I never saw this message! I'll fix it :{

Is there a way  to rotate the vr character with controller input without having  to rotate your body?

Hey, sorry for not answering in time. There's no way to do that, sorry :{

The game I've always wanted!

Hey dude this game is exactly what I've wanted to play with my vive but I'm having issues getting it started.

I'm using ps4 controllers and a steam link. The steam link is so I can cast to my tv. The ps4 controllers connect to it fine but I can't control any of the monsters. Any thoughts? Do I need a 360 controller?

Similarly, do I need to do any sort of set up for the conntrollers or is it plug in and olay?

Thanks again and looking forward to your reply!

Aww, sorry for the very late response. What I think the issue with PS controllers is that they might not be xinput compatible. There's no setup required if you're using xinput controllers. In your case, you might need a xinput emulator like this one http://ds4windows.com/. I haven't tested it because I don't have PS4 controllers, but there are other alternatives to that specific program I'm sure.
